Titanic: Death and Destruction
Game privacy notice
Effective September 30, 2026
This notice describes the Titanic: Death and Destruction website, game account and Windows launcher operated by Gorm the Old LLC, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Contact gormtheold25@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
Account and purchases
We use your Gorm account email and account identifier to sign you in, associate purchases with you and provide support. Account authentication uses Supabase and is shared with Gorm University and Gorm Studio. The browser sends your login details to our sign-in service over HTTPS; the launcher signs in through your browser and does not ask for your password.
Stripe hosts payment entry. Our game records include payment and Checkout references, price, amount, currency, purchase status, payment timing where verified, and the terms version accepted at checkout. We do not store full card numbers in the game database. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy notice.
Launcher and playtime
We store a persistent hashed Windows device identifier, the PC name you choose, linked-device dates and recent authorization activity. These records let us limit active linked PCs and verify access. The identifier is associated with your account; it is not anonymous.
We record game launch authorizations and their consumption. Supported launcher versions also report periodic activity and the end of a game process. Our server timestamps these reports and calculates bounded observed runtime for manual refund review. Reports include account/device and session references; they do not include recordings of gameplay or the contents of your files. There is no continuous-connection requirement during gameplay.
Missing or interrupted reports are marked incomplete. We cannot reconstruct unreported playtime from older launchers or connection gaps. Runtime records are evidence for review, not a complete or tamper-proof measure of every minute played.
Refund requests and support
We store the purchase and account associated with a refund request, its submission date, optional estimated playtime and reason, a snapshot of available evidence, review status and notes. We use these to review and resolve the request. Please avoid putting passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information in a reason or support message.
Storage and service providers
Supabase provides shared account, database and file storage services; Heroku hosts the website and game service; Stripe processes payments. Redirect.pizza redirects the bare domain to www.gormtheold.net and receives the redirect request, including its path, query and network information. These providers process information needed to run their services and may operate in countries other than yours. Requests can generate security and operational logs, including information such as IP addresses.
The website uses a secure browser session cookie for sign-in. The launcher protects locally saved credentials using Windows data protection and stores installation metadata on your PC. Signing out clears local account credentials while keeping installed game files. The main Gorm website may use additional tools such as Google Analytics; this game notice describes the game service rather than every other Gorm product.
Retention and your requests
We keep information while it is needed to provide account access, administer purchases and refunds, prevent replay or abuse, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet accounting or legal obligations. Different records can need different retention periods; signing out or disconnecting a PC does not automatically delete purchase or refund records.
Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your game information, or to ask about other privacy rights that apply where you live. We may need to verify your identity and retain records where required or otherwise permitted by applicable law. Tell us whether you mean the game records or the shared Gorm account: deleting the shared account can also affect University and Studio access. We do not silently close your shared account when you request a game refund.
